quotes It's pretty rad that companies will pay for a film that they will not make money on. They pay a lot of money to give us a free show. Of course they will probably sell a few more bikes/equipment than before.

quotes If you could just get me the contact info for the local USFS ranger who manages that area I'll contact him and set up a meeting. As far as the bike shops go, I'll just cruise through and see what there position is on this and how much they're willing to invest. Thanks for the interest, it's always great to hear from people who recognize the potential of having great trails in the local area.

Well, whatever. We're gonna try to get a petition together to give to the forest service. I think that we also got a new area manager who is a mtber himself, but nothing is concrete yet at all. That's kinda the problem around here: plans just crumble and die.

Also, if you want, we can show you around some of the new stuff that's happened around here.

Yeah sure, anytime. Anyways, I'm definitely going to want to help out in doing the (hopefully) upcoming trailwork. The phone # for the Mt. Shasta Range Station on Alma Street is (530) 926-4511.

If you want I can inform the bike shop(s), or you could just call them yourself.

P.S. The bike shops we could talk to would be:

Shasta Base Camp,
The Fifth Season, and
the new bike/skateboard shop near the post office.
I suppose a call would be required to set up a meeting with the USFS, but it would be pretty easy as the ranger station is right in downtown (you probably know this though).

Sounds great, I should be here then. Hopefully the snow will have melted off enough to ride at least washout or 4-mile (fingers crossed). But yeah, definitely contact me; I'd LOVE to see some mtb advocacy going on around here!

Hey, you guys should come build a downhill trail at mount shasta. It has the greatest trail setting for downhill, freeride, and cross country. We already have a pretty good cross country trail, but we really need a good downhill trail so that we can hold a race. You will also get lots of volunteer service from many people in Mount Shasta. If you have any questions you can contact me or the Shasta Base Camp down in town. They know alot about the mountain.
